Paul Wright

Paul Wright AM

Non-Executive Chairman

Paul has combined banking, health, hospitality and consulting in a career encompassing over 25 years in senior executive management with a variety of leadership roles. He has been a non-executive company director since 1985 and has served on some 16 different company Boards.

Paul has held the position of General Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory of the Medical Benefits Fund of Australia Limited and has provided executive services as General Manager of The Brisbane Club. He has been on the National Boards of The Australian Institute of Management and The Royal Flying Doctor Service, and has been Chairman of the Queensland Divisions of both organisations. Paul has also been the Chairman of The Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) Trust, Sugar Research Australia Limited and PQ Lifestyles Limited.

In 2006, Paul was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to medical administration and to business and commerce.

George Baumanis

George Baumanis

Executive Director Investor Relations

George served for 15 years as a pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force followed by 20 years as a 747 Captain with Cathay Pacific. He retired from flying in 2004 and returned to Perth to manage his varied business interests, including a commercial property development and leasing company.

George became a shareholder in Phoenix Eagle in 2004 and joined the Board as an Executive member in November 2005. He is the major investor in Phoenix Eagle and as such is well qualified to take on the responsibility of Investor Relations.

Mark

Mark Richardson

Founder and Managing Director

Mark has worked for 25 years in the mining industry, initially as a geologist and then as a mining engineer. He has managed a number of mining operations in Australia, Africa and China and was managing director of two related mining companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Mark holds the degrees of B.A. and M.A. in Geology from Oxford University, Graduate Diploma in Mining and Metallurgy from the University of New South Wales and Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia.

Mark co-founded the Company in June 2002 with Tom McArthur, the inventor of the OPAL Process and OPAL A, and Tom’s wife, Lynda

Mervyn Dudley

Mervyn Dudley

Executive Director Marketing & Licensing

Merv has worked in the financial services industry for over 40 years. He has held senior management positions in Australia and New Zealand. He retired in 2014 as Managing Director of Pinnacle Planners, a Financial Planning Practice in Perth.

Merv holds a BComm degree in Accounting and Economics and the following professional qualifications – Associate of the Accounting Society of Australia, Associate of the Australian Insurance Institute, Associate of the Financial Planning Association and, Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Merv has held Directorships in private companies involved in private investment, property development and child care facilities. He is currently a Rear Commodore at the East Fremantle Yacht Club. He has also served as a member of the Finance Committee of the Board of Newman College and Chairman of the Australian Association of Financial Planners.

Merv is a member of the Board of the Health Insurance Fund of Australia Ltd, having had to retire as Chairman under its Constitution after having served in this position for seven years.
