Scientific - Richard Lipscombe

Richard Lipscombe, PhD, is a co-Founder and Managing Director of Proteomics International Pty Ltd (Proteomics); his company has undertaken a number of studies on the OPAL Products, and is continuing to work with Phoenix Eagle in characterising the OPAL A Filtrate. Proteomics is both a contract service provider and a research and development company developing its own IP, focused on unlocking the protein code specifically for drug discovery and biological research. Richard is an expert in protein analysis. He is a protein chemist by training, with extensive experience in analysing biomolecules using proteomics techniques. This includes over 20 years international experience in hospital and academic laboratories and commercial organisations in Australia, USA and the UK. Richard completed his chemistry degree at Oxford University and a PhD in Immunology at London University. Richard is Director of the Serum Biomarker programme within the WA Centre of Excellence for Food and Genomic Medicine, and is a member of the advisory boards or management committees of the Australian Proteomics Computational Facility, the Centre for Comparative Genomics, and the WA Technology and Industry Advisory Council (TIAC) Biotechnology Sub-Committee.
