Phoenix Eagle commences clinical trial.

> 01/12/09
OPAL A-1001 clinical trial has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Austin Hospital.

Our Technology

Phoenix Eagle’s core asset is its proprietary IP.

We have developed a set of products that are derived from fruits and vegetables that have been subjected to our patented OPAL Process. Currently, the active ingredients are extracted in filtrates from the fruit and/or vegetable pulp after application of the OPAL Process. The filtrates may be formulated as lotions, creams, ointments, gels and the like. The OPAL Products appear to have therapeutic and cosmetic properties.

The filtrate derived from a particular fruit can be used on its own; for instance, OPAL A is manufactured from pawpaw (papaya) and OPAL M is manufactured from peach. Additionally, filtrates derived from different fruits can be combined; for instance, OPAL001 is created by mixing OPAL A and OPAL M filtrates.

The OPAL Process represents a platform technology that may lead to many products and market applications. While our focus is initially on venous and pressure ulcers, preliminary clinical evidence suggests that the OPAL Products may have other wound healing applications. Apparent therapeutic effects have been observed in:

  • healing of pressure ulcers (bed sores) where other treatments have failed
  • healing of venous and diabetic ulcers where other treatments have failed
  • restoration of marginally viable tissue to healthy condition
  • healing of burns
  • reduction of the pain resulting from a burn
  • removal of the symptoms on the skin of psoriasis, eczema and other skin afflictions
  • reduction of the pain and swelling caused by rheumatoid arthritis and gout
  • improvement in the appearance and texture of facial skin
