Phoenix Eagle commences clinical trial.

> 01/12/09
OPAL A-1001 clinical trial has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Austin Hospital.

Our Business Model

Phoenix Eagle’s business model is one of multiple-licensing of the IP to suitable commercial organisations.

Although we believe that our IP, when clinically validated in its application in the treatment and prevention of skin ulcers, will have considerable commercial value, in the longer term, the value of the IP will be significantly enhanced by the additional medical applications for the OPAL Products.

Our current business focus is the enhancement of the value of our IP in respect of the healing and prevention of ulcers and the negotiation and execution of a licensing agreement with a major pharmaceutical company for the commercialisation of one or more OPAL Products in the treatment and prevention of ulcers in one or more geographic markets.

On execution of our first licensing agreement with a pharmaceutical company, we will actively seek further licensing opportunities for the treatment of ulcers in other geographic markets and for the manufacture, marketing and sale of new pharmaceutical drugs and therapeutic goods incorporating OPAL Products to treat various other medical conditions.

The most exciting commercial opportunity in the long-term, however, is the potential skin rejuvenating and anti-aging effects of the OPAL Products and the cosmetic licensing opportunities that will result once these properties are validated by appropriate trials.

In 2008, we executed our first licensing agreement, confined to commercialisation of our IP in Australia.
