Associate Professor Dr Michael Woodward, MB BS FRACP, is the Principal Investigator for the Company’s current clinical trial. Since September 2007 he has been working closely with the Company in developing the synopsis and protocol for the trial. Michael is Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. He is the immediate-past President of the Australian Wound Management Association, as well as joint editor of its journal, Wound Practice and Research. Michael is the Head of Aged & Residential Care at Austin Health in Melbourne, Victoria, and Head of the Wound Clinic at this Centre, where he is involved in several research trials of new therapies for wound healing. He has been Principal Investigator for 8 wound research trials over the last 10 years, and has been involved in more than 60 clinical trials outside of the wound healing field. Michael graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne in 1979, attending the Clinical School at the Royal Melbourne Hospital during the last 3 years of his medical degree. Michael’s publication record includes numerous research and review articles.
