Mark Richardson, Co-Founder and Managing Director

Mark was born in New South Wales in 1950 and was brought up in Central Africa. He holds the degrees of B.A. and M.A. in Geology from Oxford University, a Graduate Diploma in Mining and Metallurgy from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia.

Prior to co-founding Phoenix Eagle, Mark worked in the mining industry, for a short time as a geologist and then as a mining engineer. He has managed a number of mining operations in Africa, Australia and China and for several years was the managing director of two related mining companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
